Tips For The Best Skincare Routine

When it comes to skincare, simple is better. Your routine should only be a few steps, and it helps to use products that contain minimal, natural ingredients.

Over the years, I have found that keeping my skincare routine as such has always yielded me the best results. Not to mention, eating right and staying hydrated is also key.

The steps of my routine are as follows:




Facial Mask Treatments

I’m going to go in depth on each step, as well as share some tips to help you keep your skincare game on point.

Let’s begin!

1. Cleanse. The first step of my routine is to cleanse. I usually just massage my cleanser into my skin, but on days where I feel like my skin looks dull, I’ll bring out my facial brush.

Facial brushes are known for their exfoliating abilities, but they also help to unclog pores and get out all of the extra dirt that hand washing alone cannot get.

If you haven’t already, invest in one of these brushes and thank me later!

Just remember to not use it everyday; over-exfoliating is a no-go.

2. Tone. I, like most, used to think toning was a pointless step, but when I skip this step I can definitely see a difference.

Toning aids in balancing the ph of our skin and removes any residue left over from cleansing. It also helps to prep my skin for my next product, which brings us to the next step.

3. Moisturize. Now when it comes to moisturizing, you will need two kinds of moisturizers– a sunscreen to wear during the day and a night cream to wear at night.

It is important to wear sunscreen during the day to protect your skin from those harmful UV rays. So get in the habit of wearing it daily, whether it’s sunny or cloudy. I never leave my house without wearing any.

Then at night before bed, I layer on my night cream. Our skin repairs itself while we sleep, so doing so helps give it an extra boost. Plus keeping your skin hydrated period is a MUST!

4. Facial masks 😈…(My favorite step!).

Now that we got the three essential steps out the way, this step is a bonus step that pretty much seals your routine.

First off, face masks are a great way to pamper your skin and they are loaded with vitamins that our skin needs!

After I cleanse & exfoliate, I apply my mask then rinse, tone, and moisturize.

I do this at least 3 times a week using a variety of homemade masks and my skin always thanks me for it!

And that pretty much sums it up!
